Hi Kent,

In a past post, you mentioned that data files are held open while the server is running. Thus I'd like to automate the process of turning the sever off, do a backup of the data folder, and then turn the server back on. If so, I'm curious what solution you would recommend in order to automate the stopping and starting of the server.

You would need to run some kind of Windows scripting system to turn the server off and back on again. But that shouldn't be necessary. You should be able to copy the data files to another folder even if they are open.
