Is there an ability to seperate the "play money" chips from the "chips used to 'buy-in' to the tournaments" with?

Example. CLUBWPT: you have play money chips for ring games etc.

And then you have what is called "tournament Points" and those are used to buy-in to the tournaments.

Is this possible todo with even an API maybe? or through settings?

No, it's all one currency system. But you could track your own point system separately outside of the game. Make your tournaments private freerolls and handle registrations via the API with your own web interface.
